TCAT partner, Universal Media Access Networks (former members of XFN Group) shows the world's first (DICE and LongFire enabled!) 1394-based Professional Media Network at Pro Light & Sound Frankfurt 2007. The technology and system are being made available to Pro Audio industry partners on a non-exclusive, licensed basis by Universal Media Access Networks.
Universal Media Access Networks has created a brand new system which it describes as offering:
  • Support for thousands of audio and video channels (using 1394.1 bridges)
  • Support for control over serial and TCP/IP
  • Native Ethernet support
  • Plug and play support for Ethersound, Cobranet, MADI, MIDI and more
  • Guaranteed sample-accurate delivery of audio and video to all connected devices
Universal Media Access Networks explains that its system is very affordable, and is based entirely on standard protocols and industry standard components.
