Cooperation with the BUT's Faculty of electrical engineering and communication, Department of telecommunication, succesfully runs for several years. Currently, we are cooperating on these projects:

Multi-use system for digital processing of multimedia signals

The project oriented at reasarch and examination of a low-cost universal system for real-time digital processing and recording of signals. One of the key features of the system is remote management over TCP/IP.

The whole design of the system is based on open standards: XML and HTML are utilized for system configuration and data storage, TCP/IP for data transmission, JavaScript for controlling the system via a web browser and the Virtual Studio Technology is the core of real-time audio data processing and inter-module communication.

Spatial acoustic effects for multichannel digital udio processing systems

The project is aimed at spatial acoustic effects with interactive control, utilizing currently evolving multichannel systems of spatial sound and system for their implementation. Modular conception enables to offer the users universal, on-demand high-tech system with custom configuration. New partial technologies developed during the project can be used in other fields for ICT development.

Center of sensor, information and communication systems (SIX)

Centrum SIX is focused on the research of communication systems and their components to be operated in emerging frequency bands. Activities of the Center dominantly cover:

  • Research of base-band layer of communication systems: (sub)millimeter-wave propagation, radiation, amplification, filtering and mixing;
  • Research of system layer of communication systems: mobile systems, optical systems, satellite systems, and digital TV systems;
  • Research of convergence of information and communication technologies;
  • Research of acquisition, processing and representation of communication signals to users (acoustic signals, video signals, text information and their combination in multimedia);
  • Research of sensing and detecting chemical and biological substances, and physical quantities to be transmitted by communication channels.
